Javier Pacios is Assistant Professor in the Dep. Experimental Psychology, School of Psychology, Complutense University of Madrid. His main research interest focuses on the interactions between cognitive control and memory. In particular, he is interested in the cognitive and neural mechanisms that allow us to optimise our memory, dealing with emotional distractors and intrusive thoughts. To address this issue, he uses both behavioural experiments and MEG recordings in combination with functional connectivity analysis, in healthy volunteers and patients
