Predoctoral researcher
Computational Neuroscience
Denis graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, where he also earned his Master’s degree in the same field. He subsequently specialized in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
During his undergraduate and Master’s studies, he participated in research activities related to computational biology, ranging from DNA analysis to computational neuroscience simulations.
He is currently pursuing his PhD at the Faculty of Physical Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid. His research focuses on the application of Machine Learning models in Neuromorphic Hardware for neuronal decoding.
He is interested in the intersection of computing and biology, specifically in the application of biologically inspired information processing models to engineering problems, as well as in the use of engineering techniques to study cognitive functions.
