Carmen Cámara holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M), where she also completed a Master’s in Computer Science and Technology with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence (2011). She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from UC3M and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT Digital).

She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at UC3M. Since 2014, she has been a member of the Center for Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience, with which she continues to collaborate actively.

Her research spans a range of interconnected fields, including cybersecurity in healthcare and biomedical signal environments, brain-computer interfaces (BCI), and the application of artificial intelligence to address challenges in bioengineering.
