Paula is pursuing a PhD in computational neuroscience. She graduated in Physics and completed a Master’s degree in Biophysics, where she completed her master’s thesis in computational neuroscience. She subsequently worked for a year and a half at the Zapata-Briceño Computational Neuroscience Institute of the Humanism and Science Foundation, where she developed computational models for the study of neurodevelopmental disorders. She is currently participating in the European NeMoRehab project, which aims to design a device that combines electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and functional electrical stimulation (FES) into a single system to improve the neurorehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injuries.
