Stephan Moratti

Emotional processing

Associate Professor in the Department of Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Processes and Speech Therapy. He has extensive experience in the use of psychophysiological techniques.

He began working with MEG and EEG in 1997 at the University of Konstanz (Germany), where he gained experience with one of the first high-density MEG sensor systems.

After completing her degree in Clinical Psychology at Konstanz, she did her doctoral thesis at the same university, investigating the modulation of brain neuromagnetic activity by emotion. After his PhD, in 2006 he moved to the Dr. Pérez-Modrego Magnetoencephalography Center to apply his experimental designs to clinical research on depression. Since then, she has developed her lines of research on emotional processes at this center. He later joined the Center for Biomedical Technology, where he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in MEG’s new laboratory.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with international research groups in the USA (University of Georgia) and Germany (University of Leipzig and University of Jena).
